Literacy and language in all its forms

Today is day four of our weeklong adventure.  Similar to yesterday, we began our day by eating a simple breakfast consisting of eggs, toast and fresh piña (pineapple).  We then walked to John F Kennedy School and taught the kids for the second time.  In between classes we spent recess playing basketball, soccer, tag, frisbee and getting to know the students.  Some kids even asked to be taught more English words during recess – they were very eager to learn!  Back at the Outreach 360 headquarters, we had a traditional Dominican lunch of rice, beans, eggplant and cucumber, and tomato salad.  Now we are having a bit of downtime to cool off after our first session, and we are getting ready for our next!
