It bothers me that there are many homeless people in the world, that are always asking for money as a way of living. I think it is tragic that people were not given as much privilege as someone else or that they simply did not have money or resources to be compatible. No one should have to live on the street and sleep in the cold because they don't have a home. Though there are homeless shelters, they are often filled, which means multiple homeless people are incapable of being sheltered for that night. Homelessness is a serious problem that needs addressing and fixing. In Los Angeles, in particular, there is a long street called skid row that has thousands of homeless people every night. In California homeless is absurd. Though I cannot do too much alone to solve the problem I am always finding myself giving money or some sort of food to people that are homeless. It is so unfortunate that some countries can figure out the problem of homelessness, while America uses its time to focus on other problems. According to the Japanese government, Tokyo has a population of about 700 homeless with a couple million people living there. According to Greater Greater Washington, Washington DC has 672,000 people with a homeless population of 7,000. Something needs to change.
Indeed this is a huge issue. The LA Times and numerous other publications have further insights into this issue and I encourage you to read them and refer to them in future or edited posts.
