The Duel Culture Man, Chipembere

I am very grateful that Masauko Chipembere came to our school. His voice and music were incredible but more importantly, what he has done thus far in his blows me away. He was a big contributing factor to bring independence to his home country Malawi. When he came he spoke about becoming the chief nationalist strategist and spokesman for his country. When he arrived at poly he immediately caught my attention as being a family and a really nice person. He explained that he goes to Malawi about three times a year to help with projects. It was really funny when he stated that the natives of Malawi knew he was from there because of the way he carries himself. To elaborate, he told an excellent of being in Malawi when a car drove by. He thought it was a drive-by because he was accustomed to living in Los Angeles, but his friends knew it was someone simply asking them about the party they were going to. What I loved the most about his visit was his life story. Him being a polytechnic graduate with an African background is ultimately what made him so appealing to me. The fact that Malawi people accepted him for being Malawian despite growing up in Los Angeles was very special.
