Though my senior year has been a big change I am very proud of myself and my fellow global scholars. It has been a very long and tough year and this global scholars program was a relief. It gives me the freedom to focus on topics that I was very interested in. Additionally, I was able to meet with people that I had never talk to. The Global Scholars program gave me multiple chances to speak publicly, which allowed me to get my confidence up. For example, I was incredibly nervous to do my Grant Proposal, but when I got up there and presented it I realized it was not as bad as I imagined. Along with the several class projects I was able to make significant progress with my public speaking. Watching my classmates go up on stage and present their projects was also very helpful. Being able to see confident students my age was very inspirational and helpful.
